Is it lunch already?
I’m here at work. I am a substitute teacher and today I am with fifth graders. I’ve subbed for this class before and they are one of my favorite classes, and not just because my middle daughter is in this class either. Really, I just enjoy them a ton. Today, however, they are extremely unruly and chatty, chatty, chatty! I know there are certain factors but I have to wonder if, at this point in time (just before lunchtime), part of it is just hunger.

Lately, I've been thinking about "the church." In this day and age, cultural pressures combined with information overload and numerous ways to distract ourselves make it difficult to understand what church is truly all about. Those of us who may have grown up in a church know that the Bible explains that the church is God's building, with Jesus as its foundation; that Christ loves the church, and gave himself for her; that the church is the body of Christ, with Jesus himself at its head.
